Peer Pleasure: Royal Art Lodge, Space 1026 and Instant Coffee

Peer Pleasure showcases three artist groups who work together on projects that involve communication and interactivity. Instant Coffee, six artists based in Vancouver and Toronto, showcase their BASS Bench project, a custom-made lounge and DJ station where visitors can hang out and play records. Instant Coffee will organize a series of interactive events to take place in and around the BASS Bench during the exhibition. Marcel Dzama, Michael Dumontier and Neil Farber of the Royal Art Lodge take time out of their solo art careers to paint and draw together. On view are eighty of their most recent collaborative paintings. The artists affiliated with Space 1026, a cooperative workshop, studio space and gallery based in Philadelphia, have collaborated with Shelley Spector construct an environment in the gallery inspired by communal spaces in the building where they work and play.
Artists participating in the Space 1026 installation are: Andrew Jeffrey Wright, Thom Lessner, Ben Woodward, Justin Myer Staller, Maximillian Lawrence, Nate Harris, Becky Suss, Jesse Goldstein, Jesse Olanday, Courtney Daley, Dan Murphy, John Freeborn, Crystal Kovaks, Mark Price and Adam Wallacavage.
Instant Coffee's members are: Cecilia Berkovic, Jinhan Ko, Kelly Lycan, Jenifer Papararo, Kate Monro and Jon Sasaki.
